We invite you to join us for our fourth virtual lecture, Rosa Mystica: Mary: Mother of All Nations on May 11, 2021. This program will include interesting perspectives on Madonna images, globally, and how people use these images in their lives.

Reflections will be led by Rebecca Long, the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Associate Curator of European Painting and Sculpture at the Art Institute of Chicago and John Shea, theologian and storyteller. Also, in this Rosa Mystica program, Mary Ellen O’Hare-Lavin, a Jungian psychologist, will provide the psychological perspective.

You will hear a status update of The Annunciation restoration and recent discoveries that may verify its 16th century Italian origin. This painting is being restored by The Conservation of Chicago through the generosity of the in part of the Mazza Foundation.

We hope you will be part of this unique and interesting program.
