The initial program is scheduled for October 1 st at 6:30 pm., at Holy Name Cathedral. Cardinal Blase Cupich will be with us to introduce the Rosa Mystica initiative. This program and, most likely, future programs with be virtual. This is, of course, because of our COVID situation. While we will miss seeing and talking to each other face to face, it does allow “living room” access to this informative and inspiring program. As I mentioned, more information will be forthcoming. As part of the Rosa Mystica series, the Illinois Patrons will be restoring The Annunciation. This painting is believed to be from the 16th century School of Ghirlandaio in Florence, Italy. We will use the painting to highlight the techniques of restoration and its importance for art and the role it can play in faith formation.
